You'll find hand-hewn cabins built by slaves, and the original burial sites on the Francis Marion University campus. In the Mars Bluff region, there are sites which include the Rosenwald school, Jamestown cemetery, Mt. Zion cemetery, tenant house, and sites of rice fields. Self-guided tour info is included in the brochure "African-American Sites at Mars Bluff" which is available at SC Welcome Centers and the Florence Convention and Visitors Bureau.
